Be your own hero

Life is not a leisurely walk in the park. We are all fighters, but there are times when rather than resolving the issues that are causing us distress, we wait.

"Maybe the relationship with my partner will improve."

"Maybe I will finally get noticed and promoted at my job." "Maybe problems will just miraculously resolve."

We feel unhappy about the current state of affairs and yet continue avoiding facing the issue. And the longer we do it, the bigger the issue becomes and the less sure we feel we can tackle it. We feel emotionally drained just thinking about it.


Why?

We feel scared. We don’t want to face the truth that there is a problem. We feel like we do not have the energy to deal with the issue at hand.

Unfortunately, not recognising your problem will not make it go away. We need to be stoic and accept the problem at hand. Then focus on taking steps, however small, towards finding the solution and making our life joyful again.

In short, WE NEED TO STOP WAITING TO BE SAVED AND BE OUR OWN HERO.
